Against the advice of the forum, I went ahead and got a Kiwi for my 2007 Ford Escape hybrid. I liked the way it looked. Big mistake so far. Anyway, after about a week the thing died. I sent it in and the company sent me a new one. As soon as I plugged the replacement in it started making a strange hissing noise. It still worked fine even though it hissed. After about a week it died. Now I am wondering if it's my car doing it and not the device. Any thoughts?
So the question is... does anyone here with a Kiwi drive a 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid?
PLX devices's customer service is pretty dicey so I'm basically on my own until I figure out if it's my car or the device.
Thanks,
Steve

Get your money back! It's Pretty. That's all I can say good about the KIWI. I've seen it in operation in 2 different autos and the factory instrumentation in the Prius is MUCH more accurate.
If you had NO factory MPG instrumentation in a car, it could benefit, but nowhere near as beneficial as the ScangaugeII.

Hissing sounds like a bad capacitor in the unit - you got a 2nd bad one in my book. Ship it back again - but this time get your money returned.
Sorry for the troubles... :(
