This time I was riding in the vehicle that got pulled over!
i knew he was speeding, and warned him a few times, mentioned that lots of deer are running about this time of the year, and speeding tickets were very expensive... He wouldn't listen, he was in a hurry and that was that!
Well sure enough about half way there he he said oh S$!T and started slowing way down. I looked in the mirror and there he was, da state patrol! :woot:
Nabbed him going 72 in a 55!
He was pretty bummed, so I resisted saying I told you so, though I wanted to really really bad ;)
On the way home (about a 150 mile drive) he stuck with the speed limit, so lookes like mabye he learned his lesson, so I relaxed and leaned back for a little nap.
When I woke we were still doing the speed limit, but he was typing and reading texts on his phone! I guess no more carpooling with this guy!:eyebrow:

I definetly wouldn't ride with him anymore, apparently he has to learn things the hard way and you don't want to be there when he learns the lesson about the dangers of texting and driving.

Frankly if you are really going to drop him as fellow carpool let him know why you are dropping him.

I have to agree with Kurz. Let him know why.

Darn, when he was pulled over you could have "defended" him to the officer:

"He goes slower when he's texting" :p

it was the only time i ever rode with him, he was a friend of a friend that I found out was heading up there too so i brobably wont see him again anyhow. besides I got on his case about his driving habits enough anyways. I only carpool regularly with much more responsible drivers.
