Reason I ask the question is another forum had someone inquiring on getting a hybrid....from Siberia.

NAH, more like can it get too cold for normal cars!!! hybrids treat the winters like a joke... except the mileage ;)

my solution is just to grille block, since it can hold the heat of the engine better and since hybrids don't use its engine too often overheating shouldn't be a problem... espically if the driver is going to keep his interior warm.

One plus to hybrids is they generaly have very efficient engines so you can idle them a long time without burning much fuel. And trust me. that far north people are idling their cars over night.

when warmed up for me i burn .7 liters per hour (my civic with a 1.7 liter engine was .9) I guess that .2 displacement makes the whole difference! (1.5 vs 1.7)
