Dennis Lee (http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Dennis_Lee) is a salesman.

The charismatic 62-year-old from Passaic County has traveled America for decades, hawking inventions at convention centers, hotel ballrooms and sun-drenched state fairs. Delivering his folksy pitch in a suit and tie, Lee invokes Scripture while he accuses Washington of suppressing innovation to protect big oil companies.

Authorities describe him as a cross between P.T. Barnum and Jimmy Swaggert, a convicted felon who has touted fertilizer that grows 17-foot-tall corn and engines that run on pickle juice and soda pop.... http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/03/devicemaker_has_a_flair_for_dr.html

The moment I read that hydrogen is "five times as powerful as gasoline" I knew the gadget was bogus. Most of the fuel cell vehicles I've read about don't have very high output (they're clean, but they're not powerful).

The way I understand how a ICE keeps the starter battery recharged is through an alternator, not through regenerative braking. So if this water atomizer is drawing off the battery to split water into oxygen and hydrogen, it's just making the engine work harder to maintain the correct battery charge.

It really bothers me that this huckster abuses other people's religious affirmations to hawk his vaporware products. People like him never really go out of business, however. If he can't sell this phony fuel-cell gadget, he'll start hawking something else with unsustainable grandiose claims.

Dennis is a legend in the scam business. I was over on another MPG board when the grand pooh bahs on the board started pushing his Hydrogen custom tuned 50% plus percent increase in gas mileage invention. They were selling these units for upwards of $1,500. They had all these people getting these conversions that were getting huge mileage increases. Yet not one poster on the board was one of those enlightened customers. People were asking how these people were finding all these customers because no one the board was getting the equipment installed on their cars. Needless to say it didn't take long for that board to die a quick death over 90-180 days. Last time I popped over there it looks like they have really cleaned up their acts. There is no more pushing of scam fuel saving devices.

Article has that he has done 13 months of hard time and is back at it again.

If it sounds too good to be true, some will cave in to it anyway. :(
