BMW Rally 2 Pro rider gear – What’s next, synchronous swimming ;)

The successor to the Rallye 2 Suit, the Rallye 2 Pro is the first suit to feature the newly developed NP protectors for enhanced joint coverage as well as maximum damping properties. The revised fit of the jacket and pants is adapted to be used when riding off road, and with orthotic devices and other external safety garments. The multi-functional jacket has all of the advantages required for enduro tours and rough off-road applications. The Cordura® 500 outer material and the integrated mesh liner allow for maximum ventilation to keep the rider cool. In contrast, the zip-in GORE-TEX® membrane is lined with lightweight fleece fabric in the chest and seat to protect against the cold.

Shawn Thomas, Sales Manager of BMW Santa Cruz, sent us this awesome photo of him sky diving while wearing a BMW Rally 2 Pro riding gear. He calls it “unilateral ‘Multi-Use’ test program on BMW Riders’ Apparel.”

Wayne, I'll have to check that out. My Aerostich two-piece does leak in the rain, and I'd have to wear rain gear over it. I called them, and they haven't really totally fixed that issue. I could use seam sealer to slow down the leak... The 'stich does come in any size you can imagine. If the BMW suit comes in a 44L (tall) I may have to check it out.

Hi Harry:

___I should have had you try out my Aerostich Darien for a few minutes on our ride. The BMW gear looks great and I am sure it is extremely well designed when it comes to crash resistance and impact thanks to the ballistic armor but damn that Darien gear was so darn comfortable with all of its ballistic armor installed :)

___I would like to try out some of those Rallye GS2 boots and gloves sometime however. Next year, you want to go for an even longer ride? I need some time on a 650 or 1200 GS Adventure and I am sure you would like to take out the mighty K 1300 GT for a cross country ride?

___Good Luck

___Wayne

If BMW lets us, I'm interested.

I'm sure that K1300GT is another great ride.

I could use some riding boots. I probably want some Gore-Tex boots which would be water proof and more comfortable than the lace-up work boots I've been wearing. I add gear a bit at a time, and maybe Santa Claus can find some boots to fit me at my local BMW dealer...
