Here's a thread with pictures. (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4537645) Lock up those tires people! Apparently the wheels fit older model Civics so they get targeted more.

That must be for the honduh kidz wit spoilerz an wingz.

Honestly, I never managed that an enthusiast group could ruin a brand but that's pretty much what happened. The kids want to trick out their cars, the kids will buy anything on Ebay or in forum classifieds as long as it's cheap enough to buy with their burger flipping money...ta-da! Targeted theft becomes profitable and insurance premiums go through the roof. I almost died the day I decided to get an insurance quote on a Civic.

Somewhat makes me glad I got a VW, sort of. BTW, how much does it cost to insure a Civic?

The civic was bad, $800/yr for PLPD. The Fit is just as bad, over $2k/yr for full coverage.

No tickets, accidents, etc, EVER.

They want that 55mm offset. Run 15" tires and never wear out wheel bearings.

Darn, that does not bode well for my junkyard scrounging mission for winter wheels for my fiancee's Fit.

Hope her wheels don't end up "rolling away".

It's the age-old story of large supply, large target. A family friend came back to her Corvair in a shopping center in the early-mid 1960s and found it on blocks, missing two tires and wheels. A co-worker went to drive home in her Ford Pinto in the early '70s and found someone had stolen her battery.

I'm only paying $400 / yr to insure my civic. Of course, in automotive terms, it's ancient. :/

Well, at least you know where to get some wheels...
