View Full Version : OBD location on HCH? (just ordered scangauge) lakedude 10-13-2006, 03:06 AM Where is the OBD connector on a gen 1 Honda Civic Hybrid? Just ordered Scangauge and need to know! xcel 10-13-2006, 05:19 AM Hi Jason: ___You should find it without much fuss just under the steering column on one side or the other. The last point in the SG-II FAQ (http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2068) including the 2 under dash pic’s should help you locate it in short order. ___Good Luck ___Wayne lakedude 10-13-2006, 06:24 PM Awesome! Thanks Wayne. The HCH already has nice gauges but I wanted voltage and temp info as well. Plus the SG2 can be moved from one car to another. Cool beans! GaryG 10-13-2006, 07:25 PM Has Honda switched over to CAN in the Civic EX? GaryG xcel 10-13-2006, 07:54 PM Hi Gary: ___I did not run through Psy’s SG-I setup routine but the 7th gen Accord is CAN so the 8th gen Civic should be as well. I will offer you a heads up however … Entering into a FAS, the SG-I/II act similarly in both with an ~ 5 - 6 second delay before the ICE-Off condition is registered. There are small techniques that you can use during a FAS to help reduce the induced error but I doubt your daughter will be pulling a 65 + mph FAS heading down I-95 like Psy and I would ;) ___Psy should catch this post soon enough and let you know … Even if he leaves it in Auto, it will show what BUS was found/selected. It does not need the FEH workaround so you will not have to worry about that issue. ___Good Luck ___Wayne GaryG 10-13-2006, 08:18 PM Thanks Wayne There will more than likely no FAS ever in her quest for FE. If I could get the wife and her to let up off the go pedal before 50 foot from a stop sign, I will be doing good. Wish that new SG11 interface would come out so I could try it out. I'll call Ron next Monday for an update, and if the SG11 is now ready to work with the interface, order it now. I can put it in the new Civic (she wouldn't want that ugly SG1 on her dash) to see if she will use it. If she does, she can keep it and I'll order a new one with the interface when it is available. GaryG psyshack 10-15-2006, 04:09 PM I set mine to auto and it finds it as canls. GaryG 10-15-2006, 04:16 PM The OBD connection in my daughter's '07 Civic is located above the gas pedal coming from an angle under the dash from the console side. It's packed in there tight and I hope the SG plug will fit in there ok. GaryG vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
