Yamaha, the world’s second-largest motorcycle maker, is in discussions to send some of its employees to work with Nissan Motor Co. as a cut in production created surplus labor.
“We have surplus workers as a result of production-cuts, but we want to maintain the employment with the workers rather than slash them,” Satoko Ogawa, a Yamaha Motor spokeswoman, said in a phone interview today...
