So, I am still getting used to the sg and I have switched some of the x guages and have fuel consumption in gal per hour and I notice this when I shut down at a long stop light!
Anybody know why I am showing fuel consumption when the engine is off?

I think it might be a vehicle thing. mine showed a tiny bit fuel consumption in my minivan, but does not in my ranger. I just ignored it and still got accurate readings.

I think they calculate it by the injector time. In the Prius the injectores report as a random number when the engine is off and cause the GPH to report .01.
When I was at Hybridfest this year I talked to Ron from SG and suggested that the code be changed to also include an engine RPM check. Something like "If RPM = 0 then GPH = 0". This should fix any GPH bug anyone was having. I would love to see how there would be gas burning when the RPM is 0.

Same for My Vibe. from what I seen people reporting it is a vehicle by vehicle thing.
from what I have read the scangauge uses air flow to gauge fuel flow. I have a feeling some ECU's are showing air flow even if the ICE is off.
as MT said, just ignore it.

In my Corolla, the computer updates different things at different times. I could have 0 RPM after FASing at a light, but it will take about 10 seconds for the GPH to adjust.
