ClipperCreek, the world’s leading producer of plug-in electric vehicle chargers announced today the certification of six of its electric vehicle charging products by the prestigious testing and safety organization Underwriters Laboratory (UL). ClipperCreek is the first and only manufacturer to meet the latest UL 2202 standards.
“Our current generation of chargers is based on years of field experience, technological innovation and a reputation for dependability and safety. I am very proud of our team’s tenacity in achieving the UL Listing, for both their efforts in the field and the lab,” said Dave Packard, ClipperCreek’s President.
“We believe that bringing UL certified products into the market will help utilities and municipalities expedite the rollout of charging infrastructure in their communities by providing safe, reliable and easy to use plug-in vehicle chargers,” Packard added.
ClipperCreek has produced over 2,000 chargers in 2009 and is the exclusive provider of EVSE chargers for BMW’s Mini-E and for Tesla Motors’ Level 2 EVSE charging stations. ClipperCreek also provides chargers to power Mercedes, GM and Nissan vehicles.
