On August 22, Dieselmax driver Andy Green set a new FIA International record of 328.767 mph beating the 33 year-old record by over 93 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. As if that wasn’t enough they made another run on Wednesday. The rules say you need the average of two passes in opposite directions within an hour of one another. The team averaged a mind-numbing 350.092 mph.
There is so much more to come as the car is pulling like a train and we still haven’t used sixth gear,” said Green.
The streamliner uses twin JCB diesels that each put out 750-hp and 1105 lb.-ft of torque. The engines are driven through two separate six-speed transmissions.
