I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion 3 days ago and so far it is great.

I am averaging about 45MPG under mixed city/highway driving so far. I got 55MPG the other day on a 12 mile trip in the evening on a back road. (little traffic so I could go slower without annoying people behind me)

I have found that on short trips in built up areas and can get really high MPG's as I can run in EV mode and regen the battery while coasting to a stop.

I would like to know what tips any other Fusion owners have for maximizing their FE and what display mode you drive in and why. I have tried several different display modes and see some benefit in each. Thanks.

I am sure that there will be several owners who will be happy to help you. Depending on where you live, you may be able to find an experienced fusion owner/driver who will provide a clinic (if you are interested, it would be useful to put your location in your profile).
