View Full Version : Who will get Michael Vick? Chuck 07-27-2009, 11:52 PM Michael Vick is allowed to play - if someone will sign him? Who? MT bucket 07-28-2009, 12:04 AM Tony Dungy is working with him I hope it works out. i think he would look good in viking purple! :D diamondlarry 07-28-2009, 12:13 AM Speaking of Dungy, I've also heard the Colts mentioned as a possibility. Realistically though, I don't see anyone taking the risk of taking him on. drimportracing 07-28-2009, 02:25 AM Georgia Bulldogs? Sorry I couldn't help it. :o - Dale SD3_Driver 07-28-2009, 04:56 PM Tony Dungy is working with him I hope it works out. i think he would look good in viking purple! :D what about brett favre???? rdprice64 07-28-2009, 05:05 PM All criminals become Raiders at some point. That's why it was first on the list for voting. MT bucket 07-28-2009, 08:20 PM what about brett favre???? Brett who? :p:p:p GrendelKhan 07-28-2009, 10:34 PM I'll be perfectly happy watching ANYone else play my favorite sport. This guy makes me sick. I know I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm hoping that there are enough decent people left running things that he gets an offer from no-one. It would please me if his future is a long grinding poverty. And dog bites. Lots of dog bites... Oh, maybe a police raid with K9 units! Chuck 07-28-2009, 10:55 PM Let's say I'm Roger Goodell. I'd probably let Vick back on a very short leash (pardon the pun...personally I don't want to). I let him back only because the higher standards have been in place only three years, so Vick gets a slight break - from this point forward any felon should expect a lifetime ban. Vick already has lost all his fortune, his reputation, likely will be no more than a marginal starter if any team wants him. A related topic: gambling has been baseball's unforgivable sin for 90 years, so Bud Selig should not lift Pete Rose's lifetime ban. Rose knew what he was doing and the consequences. GrendelKhan 07-28-2009, 11:20 PM I wouldn't let him back. Higher standards or not. Ha... Standards schmandards - if they let him back, then there are no standards. I don't care if he says he's sorry, I don't care if he IS sorry. He crossed a line. BUH-bye! I know what my employer would do if I got caught doing ANYthing like what he got caught doing. I've got no sympathy for Rose either. Chuck 07-28-2009, 11:34 PM Vick has an uphill battle with the time he has been away after being a dud in his last season as a passer....don't think it's likely he's going to make a team. Chuck 07-28-2009, 11:41 PM http://www.youtube.com/v/EBZdjc4RfQA&hl=en&fs=1& MT bucket 07-28-2009, 11:43 PM well, he did his time and people can change, ya know? but i agree that if he is a dud as a passer, the Vikes don't want him! Chuck 08-13-2009, 11:20 PM And Michael Vick goes to... (http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/08/13/vick.eagles/index.html) They deserve each other :biglol::biglol::biglol: warthog1984 08-13-2009, 11:37 PM Yeah, my respect for the city of brotherly love just took a major hit. Even the Raiders & Cowboys left him alone. Speaking as an AmStaff (pit bull) owner, all Vick deserves is a short drop and sudden stop. Chuck 08-13-2009, 11:42 PM BREAKING NEWS: Tarred-and-feathered Eagle found in Vick's apartment. Blackbelt 08-14-2009, 09:54 AM [QUOTE=warthog1984;227397]Yeah, my respect for the city of brotherly love just took a major hit. I could say the same thing, except i never had any respect for it in the first place. Most Pennsylvanians outside of filthy-delphia want to give it to New Jersey. I think that the fans should throw stuffed animals(dogs) onto the field whenever this douche bag comes on the field. Chuck 08-14-2009, 11:38 AM Note: the Eagles were not on this poll....they did not seem to be the type to do something like this, but then again they signed TO. Now that would be a good thread: Vick vs TO as most disliked Eagle rdprice64 08-14-2009, 02:07 PM Yeah, my respect for the city of brotherly love just took a major hit. More than when they throw snowballs at Santa?????? That is much more a hit on the city, because it was the citizen, where as this is an issue with Eagles management, not the people of the city. Shiba3420 08-14-2009, 03:20 PM well, he did his time and people can change, ya know? Yea, the time the law permits, not the time many think he truely deserves. Animal cruelty has very pathetic penalties for the weak and mean act that it is. [QUOTE=warthog1984;227397]I think that the fans should throw stuffed animals(dogs) onto the field whenever this douche bag comes on the field. If we can stuff 'em with rocks, or depleted uranium, I'd love to attend a game. Chuck 08-21-2009, 01:05 PM Fans can get custom Vick jerseys, for their dogs (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32494159/ns/sports-nfl/) warthog1984 08-21-2009, 08:06 PM Can I order a Vick chewtoy instead? Chuck 08-21-2009, 10:03 PM Can I order a Vick chewtoy instead?Should have marketed that. ;) mjphillip 08-21-2009, 10:06 PM I heard he went to the Eagles...But it is on a conditional contract. rdprice64 08-22-2009, 09:35 AM Can I order a Vick chewtoy instead? LOL! That is excellent and like Chuck said a great marketing opportunity. It would sell like hot cakes, as long a Vick didn't get any of the profits.
