When the sun is about overhead, the reflection /glare from the light colored parts in the center of the upper dash is very distracting.

Has anyone here tried out a dash mat? http://www.dashdesigns.com/dash-covers.cfm

I just saw these on Ebay and I'm really tempted..

Thanks for any input..

I haven't tried one but if you aren't super particular a towel while driving works just fine.

I'm only a little particular, so I was using my backup T-shirt yesterday for the center area.
But, even where the dash is darker (above the main display), I could still see a pretty clear
reflection of the details of the dash surface (grooves etc). I should have had a beach towel.. :)

These dash mats 'look' and fit pretty well, so my wife won't be upset about a towel
sliding down over her airbag onto her knees etc.

My first idea was to get a can of flat black paint.. ;) She didn't like that at all..

Seems like a good idea....I just hate getting my car cleaned and finding they glossed up the dash.

The black t-shirt I'm using now, has got to go!
I just ordered a custom black carpet to cover my dash..

I'll post some pictures and do a review after I get it installed.. :)

Yeah, flat black paint on the inside of the windshield will stop the glare.
