The "alloy" wheel with a wheel cover (hubcap to me!) intrigues me! Anyone have a pic of this alloy wheel without the hubcap? TIA

Hi GW:

___Although I do not have a pic, Mike Sirach has removed his and the underlying Alloys look excellent! Far better than the plastic aero covers hiding what is underneath.

___He should be around later and will surely post a pic for you post haste.

___Good Luck

(Actually, not sure if this is what you're asking about. Do you really want to see a pic of the steel wheel sans cover? I can manage that too, taking a pic of our snows.)

Thanks - But I am referring to the Prius III that says its an alloy wheel but appears to have a wheel cover over it... Drove one today, looked at the wheels and cannot picture what Toyota has on them! thanks anyway!!

Hi GW:

___Mike has the 2010 Prius-III and with the plastic hubcaps removed. It looks like an Insight EX alloy wheel!

___Good Luck

I'm in the middle of putting a floor down in the bathroom. When I get a chance I will post the pic. I have on on one of my cameras.

This is what the aluminum rim under the plastic wheel cover on a package IV 2010 Prius looks like. It didn't have the small center cap and was purchased separately. It is from a gen II.

Wow! That's amazing!! It really makes me wonder why they cover it with that "hubcap"! It is a beautiful wheel!!
Thank you for posting the picture.

They probably cover it for better aero, but I agree that it is a good looking wheel!

I totally agree. Make the car more green and leave plastic OFF of it. The little center cap cost me $15 each but I hate to think what 1 of the plastic covers would cost if it had to be replaced.

I got the caps from a local dealer. I have seen prices range from $19 each to $10 each. Parts.com have them for $10 + shipping.
