Was this an Insight review? Got lost in the political commentary and a bit of truck-love --Ed.

Now I know where to clip my Barack bobblehead.

Our energetic new president wants us all to drive tiny fuel-sipping micros with emissions so pure they could be used to season Al Gore's 32-ounce steak.

The Prez also loves the high-tech spark and whir of hybrids – silent cruisers that have been silent snoozers in the marketplace, particularly when gas is affordable.

But then I drove the 2010 Honda Insight, a hybrid that just might fit President Greenjeans' automotive agenda even better than Toyota's hallowed Prius.

It's a great stage for Obobblehead.

As you may recall, Honda's Insight beat Toyota's Prius to the U.S. hybrid market, arriving in 2000. But the original Insight, capable of an impressive 70 miles per gallon, didn't strike many chords in truck-crazed America. A tiny two-seater with aerodynamic skirts over the rear wheels, it looked like a really bad Japanese custom, lacking only little 1950s-style flipper hubcaps and wide whites.... http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/bus/stories/DN-AutosInsight_11emp.ART.State.Edition1.4ba7148.html

There needs to be a new entry for ICD9:

Hybridphobia: A mental disorder associating hybrid vehicles with environmental extremists and socialism, even to the point of pegging drives clearly not fitting that mold anyway based on their phobia. Most suceptable: drivers that "need" 5.0 liter engines and greater

I thought it was kinda humorous. Maybe it will get a few people to divert their attention away from reality TV for a little while. Face it - it's from truck country ;-)
