New on the board! I have been checking it out the last few weeks waiting on one of three dealers I have been talking to to get a Fusion in. They got them today! I am the proud owner of a 502a white platinum Hybrid. Traded a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid with 53500 miles on it. I haven't driven it but about 50 or so miles so can't sy much about it now but I sure like the feel of the car over the Toyota. I am sure I will learn a lot about it from you fellows.

Hi Cgul:

___Welcome to CleanMPG! You have chosen one heck of a car. I like to think of it as a very large Prius that is even more comfortable :)

___We will try and help and whatever you need, ask away as there are already some great Fusion Hybrid drivers onboard. My limited time behind the wheel proved the vehicle was absolutely stupendous!!!

___Good Luck

Good luck and welcome to the Fusion Hybrid club(like me!)

Give the car some time to break in and you'll be ripping off Prius like mileage in no time.

I've gotten to that point with my car, I'm disappointed if I'm less than 50mpg. And I don't even have a Scangauge yet...

Thanks David. Sometimes I would get the Camry into the 42s on MPG but not often. I drive carefully but would not consider myself a hypermiler.

I do have a scanguage I used in the Camry so I might try it but it looks like the Fusion gives you about all the info needed.

Welcome to cleanmpg. Lots of interesting information here on the site regarding your car and fuel consumption in general. Lots of tips and helpful info to help you become a safer and conservative driver (though it seems you already have the conservative down for the most part ;)).

Good luck with your new Fusion and we will enjoy hearing of your daily travels and accomplishments!

It's been a while. So what's the good news? How is the new FFH running?
How about a quickie review?

Thanks,

When we bought our HCHII the Ford was looked at. But at 10k bucks more than it was worth from the folks that brought us the T and A. Plus being a first year production run we had to walk away.... Well run away!

Good Luck! I think it is the best over all mpg/clean machine on the market for the size. But not worth the money.

I now have almost 3000 miles on the FFH and like it more every day. my long term MPG was at 41.3 and I have seen 49.8 on a 40 mile drive so am very happy with the car. Yesterday for some unknown reason all the MPG data reset in the computer. I parked at a store for a few minutes and when I started home looked at the gauges and they had changed from what I normally use. Then when I looked at the MPG it was on something like 15 MPG. Also the long term MPG reset.

In my TCH I would have to be very careful to get it to 41 MPG or so. The FFH always stays in the mid forties.

I don't consider the FFH as risky as a new model as Ford has been selling the Escape hybrid for years and this is just an update on The Escapes system. All the rest is the same as The Fusion which is a well proven car.

I am very pleased with my FFH and the price was about the same as a fully equipped Toyota Camry hybrid.

I purchased a Fusion Hybrid this weekend. I've got 115 miles on it so far. I traded an old F-150 for it and took advantage of the C.A.R.S. rebate.

After 3 days of driving, I'm more than pleased with the vehicle. I love the choice of dashboard configurations.
