View Full Version : Soccer fans - craziest fans in the world... jhu 05-28-2009, 05:49 PM ...crazy enough to kill. (http://www.cnn.com/2009/SPORT/05/28/nigeria.death.united.barcelona/index.html) And I thought football fans were crazy. Chuck 05-28-2009, 06:53 PM About twenty years or so ago, some English soccer fans killed a few in the stadium and pundits attempted to explain this madness. America has more sports choices than Europe. In cities like Dallas, Chicago, Boston, a fan can choose between NFL football, basketball, baseball, NHL hockey...two teams in NYC! That does not count college football and basketball. In Europe it's mostly soccer - or was. Remember an article that noted fans of the Cowboys, Redskins, and Broncos tend to be hard on their respective teams. For a long time they either were the only pro team in their town or the only competent team, so the only one with a fan base. Of course people have been killed over NFL games. :( vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
