2009 Honda Jazz – Inexpensive and decent FE in the land of the Super-diesel.

Back in 2002, the Jazz caused a sensation with a mix value and frugality in a sub-compact exterior with an interior passenger and cargo capacity of a compact. The 2002 Jazz was hugely popular right up until the launch of the all-new Jazz in 2008.

Commenting on beating the 500,000 sales mark, Honda had the following to say...

"The Jazz really changed things in the B-segment when it arrived in 2002,” said Honda Motor Europe, Senior Vice President, Ken Keir. "People are still amazed by just how much space there is inside both for passengers and luggage. We are thrilled to sell half a million cars and we are looking forward to continuing this success when we begin production of the Jazz at the Honda UK Manufacturing plant in September."

The Jazz was the first to introduce Honda’s now famous "Magic Seats" that defines its flexible interior. The Jazz hatch has developed a loyal following across Europe with a significant number of customers owning more than one.

The latest Jazz which debuted in Europe last year has included everything that made the first generation so endearing and improved upon it in every single instance. Vehicle scrapping incentives across Europe are further raising demand.

That looks like the Japanese spec which has a much sharper look to it without the cumbersome bumper on the US and Canadian version.

Great car, glad to see it doing well for Honda.
