Hello,

My name is Don. I'm from near Buffalo, NY. I saw this site as a result of viewing a picture by Tigerhonaker on the Green Hybrid site. I'm interested in learning more about emissions, and fuel saving techniques.:D

Welcome Don. How are you doing now for FE? How much of an improvement do you want and how much effort do you want to put in?

My goal (that I just made up ;) ) is that I want every member of this site to improve 10% over what they get now. For some it should be easy. For others who are already doing very well it might be more difficult.

Ouch! 10% will really be putting the thumbscrews to me. It might take extrordinary means to get that. But it might be fun.:D

10% in the same vehicle? Or are we allowed to upgrade the hardware? (lol)

Same vehicle. And yes Dan, I was thinking of you when I put the last sentence in.

OK, so 10% starting from when? My first tank in the Del Sol was 50.33 MPG on 1/21/06. My latest tank looks like it will come in at 55MPG. Looks like I am just about there. Today's drive home was Sweeeeet! 64F, 13 MPH tailwind, 60MPG. Not bad for +200ft elevation change.

W0000000t! Can't wait for summer.:D

Tbaleno,

Overall, I'm getting 41 mpg. It's cold here, I have a 6.5 mi. commute, and we get snow. However, I've gotten up to 62.2 mpg :) with the car warmed up, mix of 4 lane, and main roads going 50 mph in 34 degree F. weather. I hope to improve my mileage. My car is "Blue Baby" in the GH database. Thanks for the welcome from you and all the other members. I'm sure that I will enjoy this site like a do the GH site.
Regards,

Don

That's no problem here. I'll just wait until the weather warms up (which is happening right now) and BOOM instant FE increase. :D
