One of the things CleanMPG seeks to do is to encourage drivers to save fuel and help the environment. Occasionally I run into people putting one form of alternative form of transportaion down over the other - not so much here as various other sites. A few times it might be flame-bait, but a lot of times it comes from people concerned with being green.

Some members drive to go farther on a tank of gas - others modify or get a different vehicle.

We have people that drive hybrids, diesels, conventional gas-sipping vehicles, and gas-guzzlers. Some members are interested in hydrogen, ethanol, clean coal, wind, solar, nuclear, and other alternative power. Each form of energy has it's pros and cons - people have and will continue to put one energy or vehicle down over the other. I don't see the point in that.

For instance, I've seen hybrid vs. diesel. Why fight? Each has advantages over the other and future technology that can improve each, including the possibility of a diesel-hybrid.

I look at the sum of people with diesels, hybrids, EVs, etc... it's a small percentage of the population.

The way I see it, all of the above is doing something. Now if we could only get everybody else to act....
