I thought these two reports concerning Mitsubishi EV plans might be of interest,
It was reported by Tokyo Shimbun(March 18th), that after the introduction of the MiEV this summer, Mitsubishi has plans to introduce next year two new models, a delivery type and a sports type. Both which will be targeted at US/European markets. Goal for all EV sales is greater than 10,000 per year by 2011.

Also in another report on the battery production costs for the MIEV (16kWh)
A comment was made by GS-Yuasa CEO Ohno "At 2,000 packs per year the cost is 1.6million yen ($16k per pack) When they can reach at least 10,000 per year the battery pack will be under 1million Yen ($10k)
