2010 Toyota Prius-III – 60.3 mpgUS on the NEDC and nothing in the B and C-Class (compact and mid-size) class even comes close!
The 79th Geneva Motor Show will host two key Toyota premieres the new 2010 Prius and 2009 Toyota Verso MPV. These two models represent the last wave of a 13 model launch program, and include comprehensive powertrain revisions based on two technologies: Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy DriveŽ in the Prius and Optimal Drive in the Verso. Both focus on maximizing gasoline and diesel engine efficiency.
The world’s most advanced automobile, the new Prius, makes its European premiere in Geneva. With a Cd 0.25 and new suspension tuning, the new Toyota hybrid sets new standards in innovation, ride and handling not felt from a Toyota hybrid previously. 90% of its next generation Hybrid Synergy DriveŽ system components have been redesigned, creating a lighter, more compact powertrain which delivers a 22% increase in power and a 14% improvement in CO2 emissions, now reduced to an amazing 89 g/km with fuel economy of 60 mpgUS on the NEDC.
Making its world premiere in Geneva, the new Verso is the no-compromise choice for compact MPV customers. It combines true Multi-Purpose Vehicle roominess, flexibility and practicality with the comfort and driving dynamics of a conventional passenger car. The new Verso benefits from Toyota Optimal Drive technology, with engine power increased by up to 20%, and fuel consumption and CO2 emissions reduced by up to 14%. CO2 emissions for the five-engine range start at only 140 g/km for the 2.0 D-4D 7-seater (best-in-class offer).
