Going through the tire size and gear ratios, I get 2341 rpm at 60 mph for the 6-spd manual. Not bad.

Hey Andrew ... you might be a gear head :D But I'm glad you are, because I know I couldn't have figured that one out.

My FEH runs a little below that at 60 mph on a flat hwy, so hopefully the FFH will actually come in a little lower than that. Either way I can't wait to see for myself. My dealer hasn't been able to confirm a date when they will have the first one in stock for a test drive, but hopefully soon!

I think Andrew is looking at the gas version and not the Hybrid. Manual transmission is the dead give away. One reason I posted this article was it had a complete comparison of all models and the gas version is also a great package for the price.

Hi Gary:

___This may be a bit premature. I saw a PR release earlier today and since they hit the sunset clause, 60,000 in sales trip late last year, the April 1, date may or may not arrive before the FFH is available. Ford has stated the FFH will be available this spring but not when this spring to be exact. Anything after April 1 and its $1,700, not $3,400.

___Good Luck

That's true Wayne and if someone is interested in getting the $3,400 tax credit the purchase has to be before the end of March '09. You can bet Ford is working real hard to get these units on the Lots before that date to give the dealerships a bone before the tax credit drops to $1,700. I'm getting my $3,000 credit on my '09 FEH for 2008 at a good time to consider a '10 FFH with a $3,400 tax credit in '09 if I find one on the Lots I like. Those ordered units that are near sold will be put on the back burner till after March and the only chance to get the full credit will be at the dealership at sticker price you can bet. I'm keeping my powder dry for this reason. After March, I'm banking the price will fall off sticker because sales will still be in a downturn.

I'm happy getting over 50mpg on E10 now with my '09 FEHL that's loaded like you've never seen and I know the FFH will do even better. My Wife Rhonda will be the primary driver, but I still get the chance to see what the FFH is good for on highway and city to report.
