Hi All:

___With Tim K.’s mention of the PA. tax incentive check he received today specifically because of his decision to purchase a hybrid in the recent past, the Milwaukee Hybrid Groups meeting with an Environmental Attorney to possibly enact hybrid friendly legislation in Wisconsin, any legislation that may/can affect FE (CAFÉ’ for one), SMOG, and/or GHG related emissions, I thought it best to bring about a forum for this discussion. The discussion does not need to be for a particular state although I would hope you would create threads with a specific state or locale in the title so as to focus the discussion to that specific locale. I am not saying a member from Washington state should not participate in a thread about legislation being forwarded in let us say Virginia because any one of us may have an idea or solution someone may not have thought of or have experience that some of us rookies (myself being an obvious rookie with regard to the legislative process) may not have thought of so as to clear a road block or figure out a solution to bypass said road block that may hinder a smart piece of proposed legislation that was in the process of being shelved to continue to move forward simply because of our inexperience … Both Californians and Coloradoan’s have about the most environmental friendly legislation on the books (I am not saying there is not a cost involved because there always is) but with our growing membership, I simply hope we can help one another as we all learn the ways of our local and state governments to promote what we promote on a personal basis every time one of us turns the key …

___We all have a small say in our future and the Federal legislation is a mixed bag given the large PAC money influence where as State legislation can be proposed and enacted via grass roots efforts with a much more positive outcome because of people like those at the MHG legislative discussion meet this morning or those that have participated in meetings similar in your own locales. There has to be a start somewhere and we may as well try and help one another if at all possible.

___With that, I hope you find this forum of interest and possibly help no matter your political leaning or the state in which you currently reside.

___Good Luck

___Wayne
