Those that follow NFL know that the half week followed the end of the regular season, there is a massacure of head coaches, so it seems belated when Tampa Bay fires both their General Manager and Jon Gruden. Some might say his Super Bowl victory in 2002 was more Tony Dungy's work, but none the less the Bucs had a late season collapse at least as bad as the Broncos.
Bad thing about late firings is most of the coaching vacancies are filled or soon will be....ironically the Raiders still have an opening (http://oak.scout.com/2/830978.html). :p

I don't watch the NFL anymore, but Chuckie cannot go back the Raiders after what he did to them in Tony Dungys superbowl.

Yes, Chuckie cannot come back to the Raiders. He abandoned us right when we were getting good. I do give him the credit for us reaching the Superbowl that year though, because Callahan was completely worthless!
But then again, Al Davis always does the opposite of what I want, so since I want to keep Tom Cable, I'm sure that Chuckie has already been offered the job :(

Read a little more about Gruden and his disgruntled players basically gave up and hoped he would walk the plank.
Their stories sound like Keyshawn Johnson a few years ago when we left them for Dallas on less than pleasant terms with Gruden...accounts of doing something totally different than what he promised to the players - i.e. lied or betrayed them.
I had a job under a fiery boss and once....I went from a junior to senior programmer, he did not deliver his end of the bargain....left and he was demoted and got early retirement shortly afterwards.
Moral of the story is if you are cracking the whip and then cheat the people that deliver - it's going to catch up with you.

I had a boss like that as well. He didn't get demoted etc, but he hasn't advanced in his a career and never will.
