Merry Christmas to ALL and YES, I mean everyone. I don't mean happy holidays or any other paganistic salutation.

It is fitting news to celebrate the the birth of our savior as a man.

He is the one that has given us faith and hope along with the Christmas Blessing (http://www.authorstream.com/presentation/arulforyou-123946-christmas-blessings-xmas-jesus-birth-born-mary-virgin-blessed-immanuel-entertainment-ppt-powerpoint/).

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To Everything There is a Season, and Time for Every Purpose under Heaven.

All Christians realize the significance of the birth that is celebrated.

Long ago, about 2000 years, when King Herod ruled Judea (now part of Israel), God sent the angel Gabriel to a young women who lived in the northern town of Nazareth.

The girl's name was Mary and she was engaged to marry Joseph.

The angel Gabriel said to Mary: 'Peace be with you! God has blessed you and is pleased with you.'

Mary was very surprised by this and wondered what the angel meant.http://www.whychristmas.com/story/the_christmas_story.shtml

Praise God for the glorious Gift only He could give us! And Mike, thank you for posting that first acclamation for the real meaning of Christmas Day and the true Christmas spirit. My wife gets so upset at the "Happy Holidays" greeting, and I try to moderate her feelings by reminding her the country and the world celebrate other events--spiritual and otherwise--at this time of year. She reminds me, and rightfully so, this is the Christmas Season and Christmas Day, first! The reason for the season is the birth of our risen Lord and Saviour. Period!

It is great to see this article on Christmas morning here on CleanMPG to remind me (and others?) faith in God is not incompatible with a desire to live efficiently but is actually quite consistent with Jesus' teachings. A very Merry Christmas to all readers on CleanMPG.

Thanks mparrish for the link. It hits the nail on the head for my belief. This should be a time that everyone thinks of how fortunate they are. A smile or kind word to a total stranger could be a monumental event in their life or at least a nice thought for the day. We should be thankful for what we have and help those less fortunate. It doesn't have to be monetary. A kind word or helping hand can reap great rewards.

Merry Christmas everybody. I don't have a whole lot to say on this forum but I sure do learn a lot from you all. This thread makes me very proud to be part of CleanMPG and I tip my hat to all that allowed it to be. I love it that we can identify exactly why we have Christmas in the first place. In my opinion, there is not greater day.
You guys are tops in my book

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. We had a wonderful Christmas at home today. And a rare white one, at that.
