One thing you can take from the review is the car looks roomy when you consider Clarkson fits in it easily.

Is it green?

Yes. Very. (showing the paint color that exactly matches the grass.) :p

Good point about Clarkson fitting in it. He's not a small man.

I personally think there's high praise in there from Clarkson when he talks about the handling. The entire Top Gear team seems to dislike (near hate) most all things American so him complementing the handling and linear steering is good press.

The beaching was awesome, I can't believe the car didn't flood out and stall.

He happens to be my height (6'5") but looks a bit heavier. :)

It's a European car not an American one. But I understand your point.

I kinda did part of the final scene with the 83 Civic. It wasn't exactly planned....

In any case the water was up to the windshield, she stalled, but somehow I managed to restart. It sounded like a boat because the exhaust was under water and blowing bubbles. My feet were starting to get wet.

I backed up, got out of the water and was schocked that the car still ran. It ran rough at first, but got better, and got me home. As I was trying to dry the inside out, I called my mechanic, explained what happened, and made an appointment to have the car checked out the next day, just in case.

The next morning it wouldn't start. They replaced the distributor cap and rotor and plug wires and that was it. In 204k miles, that was the only time the car was ever on the back of a tow truck.

Isn't the Ford Mondeo one of the two cars that the presenters of Top Gear all agree they like? The other being the Subaru legacy.

Anyways, they don't sell the Mondeo here. Ford has their own little division in Europe just like Honda has their own little division in America.

Ford in Europe is not a little division (for european standards that is). It is quite large with lots of plants and cars (some of which you probably don't get in the us): Ka, Fiesta, fusion, Focus, C-Max, Kuga, Mondeo, S-Max,...

first Ford in Europa: 1903
Production 2006: 1.857.500 vehicles
revenue 2006: 30,4 Miljard $
employees (dec. 2006): 65.000

From the UK shows I watch they heap high praise on the Mondeo, Fiesta and especially Focus.

I don't think he necessarily means "small" because honda isnt exactly small in the US either.
