It isn't cheating when you work with the way the system is designed. It is how we get good formatting for a lot of our table work, too.

On the blank posts if you click your mouse and drag across the blank post you will see the text appear like a james bond steamed up mirror kind of thing. It's neat!

That's what I was calling cheating and why I called the shenanigans, but its hard to express that in just ten characters.


Sean, on regular posts you aren't limited in characters the way we were for this impromptu game. & Google doesn't like hidden text, though they didn't say how they respond to hidden punctuation (what was done here, mostly), just don't want to see any articles de-listed.

Hm. I don't think any of our articles are going to get de-listed. As for impromptu game... that started rather late. I saw the OP as a question about the limit. I posted what looked like a single character as joke and a riddle. ;)

Our other thread wasn't really about length, just the use of only one word.

Regardless, it is just innocent fun.

I agree, not jumping on anyone's case, just needed more than ten characters back there and it may have come off that way.

I don't believe they will either, but just threw the consensus about hidden text out there for pondering.

Fair enough -- we only use it for some minor formatting in tables and for centering text under photos. I've found several of our articles on Google using that stuff but I'll keep that in mind.
