Honda Motor Co. is sending U.S. owners of 1.19 million of its 2006 and 2007 cars, trucks and motorcycles corrected information for contacting federal safety regulators, because of a misprint in vehicle manuals. The manuals were in vehicles including 2006 Accord and Civic cars and 2007 Fit subcompacts. Owners and dealers will be sent postcards with the correct information starting early next month. The manuals have the wrong area code for the phone number to report safety problems, he said. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s phone number for reporting defects is (888) 327-4236, and its Web sites to file a complaint are at www.safercar.gov (http://www.safercar.gov) or .gov.
