Since 1948, the Washington Redskins home game before the election determined who got elected. When the Redskins win, the party in the White House remains in power....lose and the opposition takes over. Redskins are 18-1 in deciding elections, only missing in 2004. What this means is John McCain will be singing Hail to the Redskins while Barack Obama will be waving The Terrible Towel.

JimboK, I might be pulling for Washington tonight. :D

I just want Pittsburgh to get beat. I don't care who does it, how they do it, or what the score is.

The way the 'skins are going might mean no chance in 2012 for us either.

Class warfare won out....if I believed what the Dems say I should have always voted for them. By the way, I NEVER did get my promissed tax break from Clinton!

BUT HEY....more power to "Barry" and I wish him luck....and us to.

"I vote Republican because not everyone can be on welfare"

I was actually at the game, and by the thrid quarter you would have thought it was Heinz field in Pittsburg. Most of the redskins fans left by then and you could actually hear Steelers fans chanting.

As for the implications of them winning, I think it's mearly coincidental, but you never know...

I've been to two games at Fedex field. Did you get any autographs?

It's not coincidental. The Skins has historically sucked, and the people of this country vote out the incumbent party for a change in direction.

Pittsburgh got beat last weekend by a last-second Roethlisberger pick off in the end zone. :)
