Well, I finally broke the 30+ mpg mark for my last tank. I've been averaging ~30 mpg for my 12 mile commute, and this afternoon, since it is hot as hell again, I managed 35 mpg. Basically, I've been doing much more NICE-ON coasting, FASing at lights more, some quasi-P&G on the freeway on the downhills that aren't steep enough to maintain speed in neutral. Still, on the cooler comfortable 50 degree mornings, I struggle to break 30 mpg on my commute. I haven't using the heater yet, and never will for my commute. I have an external upper grille block to try to get the engine warm faster. I'm currently running 5W40 oil but will change to 5W20 soon.
