For years it was customary to wait until the season was over or very nearly over before firing a coach in the NFL. Otherwise it's an admission to the fans this season is a failure and gives them a good reason to stop coming to the games. This season is different. Rams coach fired after only three games, quickly followed by the Raiders with that wierd situation and now the 49ers. Would not be suprised if the Cowboys join this list in a month.
