So for a couple of years not it seems Honda has been talking up Diesel! Coming to the US soon!

... And here we stand and once again Honda says a year away....

So where are they? Accord/TSX diesel I mean. I assume based off rumors it's the same engine in both. I loved the 09 TDI on a test and rumor has it the Honda diesel will be even more efficient.

Hoping for 2010 or early 09. Getting tired of the lack of any power in the civic, and would prefer something with nice low end power but still stellar economy. Plus the TDI's lack of available Navigation bugs me... Thinking a TSX if my finances work out or at least the Accord as a second option.

Anyone heard or know what/when to expect?

___We were all hoping for late 08 but it looks like mid-09 for the Acura TSX? I remember Honda speaking about the A-VTEC for the new Accord two years ago and that one disappeared into the ether completely?

Maybe they are having trouble getting CA emissions certified the same way everybody else has? The things I've read have sounded a bit weaselly--as if they think they will pass soon (e.g. noted as "Honda test data"), but haven't passed yet.

So is the diesel CR-V dead now?
