Bird one - I needed to get my dry cleaning

Bird two - I wanted to get out on a beautiful east coast early fall day

Bird three - My son needed a little time off the couch.

So, off we go to the cleaners and back, hypermiler style:

It was a short ride, but it's nice to give the CRV a break.

Good Job. I hate short trips and I often avoid using my Accord for those sorts of things.

Good job. Teach your boy that bikes arn't just fun toys for kids, but real transportation. My son and I started riding when he was 9 (21years ago) and progressed to where we were riding 40 to 60 miles. We were looking for a riding challenge and found the "El Tour De Tucson" a 100+ mile tour oround Tucson. He won the youngest rider award when he was both 10 and 11. We both continued to ride this event many more times. I just did it for fun but Al (my son) got serious about it and come in a few times in the top 20 or 30 riders out of about 4000 to 8000. We both still ride but haven't done the tour for a while.....Louis
