Anyone notice today that the big 2 are worth very little in terms of common stock.

GM has 566.16 million shares of common stock (http://finance.google.com/finance?fstype=bi&q=NYSE:GM). It's low today was $4.65 / share (http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:GM).
Ford has 2.269 billion shares of common stock (http://finance.google.com/finance?fstype=bi&q=NYSE:F). It's low today was $2.03 / share (http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:F).

GM's total worth in common stock today bottomed at 2.63 billion dollars.
Ford's total worth in common stock today bottomed at 4.61 billion dollars.

Toyota currently possesses 18.98 billion USD (http://www.google.com/search?q=1908606+jpy+in+usd) of available cash (http://finance.google.com/finance?fstype=bi&q=NYSE:TM).

Could you imagine the hailstorm if someone with 8 billion USD to spare were to attempt a hostile takeover of Ford and GM?

Yikes!

That is amazing!

Will the US taxpayers get paid back the $25,000,000,000 loan? My guess is no.
