In Dilbert, he drives a non-descript sedan.

Anyone want to guess which make fits him the best?

When the strip started, my answer would have been an Accord, but that was over a decade ago and he works in the Silicon Valley so he likely traded it in for a Prius.

I don't know what Scott Adams drives, but he works at home.

I'm thinking that Dilbert is about things that are over-engineered and unreliable. So I'm thinking that his car would be European (VW?), but never runs so he mostly would drive a rental, lets say, Malibu.

My thinking is that Dilbert is over-worked and under-paid. So his ride is probably some mid 90's heap that is on the verge of breaking down. Being a computer tech, he has no aptitude for automotive mechanics, but is arrogant enough to think he can do it. ("I'm a computer geek, there's nothing I cannot do!")

In the animated series, a GM EV1. In the strip, Insight/Prius.

I'm in computers, I'm aero-modding my car and generally I'm not able to do more complicated things than changing a bulb. This implies Dilbert also can do that.

Dilbert implements my dreams. As I'm dreaming about a prius or a i-CTDI civic, Dilbert has one of them.

To match Dilbert's Belt'o'techno-gadgets, I would think he would be driving a Prius. However, being an engineer I would think he would also choose the most practical/available car being either a corolla or civic. It's kind of a toss up really.

I can see Dogbert constructing some kind of "hybrid of doom" as well.

A Civic. Cheap to run, small-ish, and 4 doors.

The animated series depicts Dilbert driving an ELECTRIC-only car. As for the comic, the propulsion system isn't revealed.
