Thanks to some people over at Priuschat, I was made aware of the SG X-Gauge codes to indicate whether you are in EV mode or not. They were in Dan's list all along.:o I don't know how many times I've pulled away from a stop or rounded a corner and saw my SoC dropping then realized I had forgotten to disengage EV mode.:o:mad:here are the codes:
TXD-0525
RXF-010522290000
RXD-3101
MTH-000100010000
Name-EVB
I'm surprised that Dan hasn't mentioned this but, I found by accident that if you replace the first of the three 2's in the RXF string that the EV staus will read either "1" for on or "0" for off.:p

I used Dan's code and it says on the Scanguage On or OFF which is nice for the EV mode.

Mine doesn't say anything. Just shows the letters EVB. But I have had problems with my unit from the start. But I was hoping this would help me figure it out. Maybe I'll just replace the damn thing with the one I got as a door prize at HybridFest.

Doc, what other gauges are you running along with it? Sometimes they interfere with one another. You also have to be VERY careful about double-checking your programming.
The EVB x-gauge was a great addition to the arsenal, along with replacing the infernal Coastal EV mod with the superior RadioShack button.

Ugh, I'm gonna have to pull the trigger on this at some point. I just hate messing with the wires. Don't send me back in there coach! :)

Well, if you already have the Coastal thing installed then you can leave it in place and tap into those wires rather than tapping the ECU wires again. I should correct myself in that I didn't "replace" the coastal button...I just don't use it anymore. :) It's much easier the second time.

Beautiful, thanks! I found a few priuschat resources to help with this "tap" too. I'm pleased I might not have to deal with the pins. I may give you a holler in this thread or via PM if I have any questions.
