I have seen this car in Japan and I think it's a real winner. It's one of those cars that when you see it, you want to know what it is.

Hi All:

Mitsubishi is taking the iMIEV to Iceland as it signs a Memorandum of Understanding with that government :)

Testing of i-MiEV BEV to commence immediately.

Tokyo -- Mitsubishi today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding fleet testing of its zero-emissions i-MiEV BEV with Iceland's Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. Iceland has aggressive plans to reduce its dependency on fossil fuels; proposed testing of the electric car would begin during 2009.

Since 1980, Iceland has been making inroads toward a shift to sustainable energy, and at present the nearly 100% of the country's electric power needs are met by hydroelectric and geothermal sources. Iceland has set high environmental targets, receiving global acclaim as a clean energy leader.

The president of Iceland, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, is scheduled to test drive the car in relation to the MoU signing.

___Good Luck

___Wayne
