Hello to the hypermiling community. I was drawn to your website while researching the Scangauge. Your testimonials and experiences were the deciding factor in my decision to buy one.
We are in the final stages of building and installing a Hyzor hydrolyzer unit for our little Plymouth van. Low HHO output injected directly into the air intake of our ICE, cleaning up the burn and upping the FE. At least that's what we are told. The Scangauge will be a wonderful assessment tool.
Reading Wayne Gerdes' landmark article last night was a delight! So much of the information there corroborated the common sense driving tips that my father taught me back in the 60's. Try to never stop, take your foot off the gas pedal and coast, let the rabbit trip the trap, then just glide on past, park facing out. Much of the article, though, was far ahead of what I've been doing. Many thanks, Wayne.

I am new to this forum and wanted to purchase a programed scangauge. I clicked on buy now and payed with paypal but it did not let me add money for the programming. Do I have to go to paypal and send a seperate payment of $ 10.00? Do you need vehicle info to program?

I'm new to this forum to, been wanting a scangauge for a while now. As soon as I can afford I will get one. One question. What is the benefit of having it programmed? Is that something I can do myself?

Welcome Justin! My Matrix isn't as fancy as yours but I do love it.

I'll jump in and give my .02 on your question and then others can chime in.

If you are even remotely technically savvy I think you can program it yourself. Alternatively, if you are anxious to get started you can have Wayne do it for you.

The Matrix has been a good little fuel saver for me so far....
I'll be interested to see my milage off this tank with my tires at 40 psi and doing a bit of coasting in neutral.
