I hardly ever venture down towards Los Angeles (I live in Glendale) and for good reason, especially due to the horrendous traffic.
Unfortunately, I will be heading down to Santa Monica tomorrow and I wanted to know if any of you local hypermilers have figured out the best way to get from Santa Monica to Sunland without using the 405N and without getting stuck in 101 traffic, at the same time not having to pass through too much stop-and-go in downtown LA.
I'm planning on going on the 10E, exiting on western, onto Los Feliz and then back onto the 5. If anyone has figured out the best route for going south-north in this area, please let me know!
