Seriously? ;)
I was thinking about taking this (http://www.fortebikes.com/Diablo.htm) design and adding a couple feet in length (no increase in FA, so no prob) and maybe 6 inches in width. Behind the driver I'll place a ~75lb ~1ft^3 4hp diesel engine connected to a derailer system with maybe 6 gears? I think this combo should be good for well over 1000mpg (omho closer to 2000mpg) in the hands of a hypermiler. It can go anyplace most cars can, and I should only need ~10 gallons of fuel per year, which I think I can grow using grey water. All told I think this should run ~$2-3k for the entire system (rerouting my current water piping, getting the plants, building a press, filtration system, and building the vehicle/buying the motor. Besides, if this thing can go 80mph on 450watts, think of how fast it'll be with 2800watts! The only downside is I'll need to license it as a motorcycle if I want to travel on the freeways, which means insurance. This would be especially easy on the wallet as a moped since the only fee required is the one time plate fee when registering it initially.

I expect my kitten will be fully grown by then. She won't like the saddle, though.
