I increased my hwy. m.p.g. about 2 m.p.g. by removing the sliding cross pieces on the roof rack. I get near 30 m.p.g. at 60 m.p.h.

That's sounds about right. The 94 Saturn had only a left mirror from the factory and that probably made a mile or two difference once you try to squeeze out the higher MPGs.
