I went to a different gym this afternoon and made a find.

My Honda Insight behind a Smart Car from Toronto, Canada (www.smartcar.ca) for comparision. Daimler/Chrysler is supposed to decide soon if they sell it in America.

Hi Delta_Flyer:

___Here are a few sites with crash test videos that you might be interested in. Overall, Smart’s hold there occupant structures quite well in offset collisions imho …

Delta;

I guess that tells us all something about driving the smaller cars/vehicles over long distances. This person sure did.

I think it is very cool. :cool:

Thank's for sharing the Pics. Great Pics. of it, very clear.

I guess I am going to have to break down and get one of the new digital cameras. Some time soon. :)

Tiger, 5 Megapixel cameras are going for around $300 and usually have limited video capabilities, like mine. I'd spend at least $200 to make sure it makes decent low-light or motion pictures well. A digital editor such as Adobe Elements is very helpful.

Wayne, I remember the second link of the Smart Car crash from several months ago. I might have been more interested in this car back when I had the IMA battery pack failure.

I did not hang around the car very long as it just looks strange hanging around with a camera. On the interior picture, finally figured that thing above the dash is probably an MPG player.

In my opinion you have just shown the wave of the future. Thats just amazing that there are any salvageable parts left on that car. And then there is the fuel economy and cost benefit issue associated with just driving smaller cars. The other benefit that few people acknowledge is we could save enormous expenses in highway cost if we drove cars that were shorter. Less space requirement(smaller footprint) per driver would greatly reduce traffic congestion.

Saving infrastructure cost is important to those of us who see the government running out of money faster than we are running out of fuel.

i see these cars everywhere, but sadly they are useless because the asking price is the same as a civic and you all know you can get good FE with a civic ;)

i don't think parking space is that much of a concern over here as it is say... toronto i guess. BUT being cheaper than a honda insight has their advantages, but the insight is still the better mileage champ.

ANd I heard these cars are not that fun to drive, the transmission is garbage.

If my car was a Smart, could I say my two-car garage is a four-car garage? :D
