View Full Version : Does Cleanmpg have bumper stickers?
As the thread title says... I would love to have a CleanMpg Bumper sticker.
Or can anyone give me a site that sells hypermiler bumper stickers?
Its about time I stop driving incognito.
swhoutx035 07-08-2008, 01:25 PM I read a post a few days ago and it doesn't appear there is any cleanmpg.com merchandise at this time. It would be nice to have a sticker/decal or license plate cover to promote the site.
07mpshei 07-08-2008, 01:30 PM It would be interesting to see what -- if any -- stickers hypermilers adorn their machines with....

lightfoot 07-08-2008, 01:42 PM I was thinking of CleanMPG on one side and AAA on the other. I haven't resigned from AAA just yet.
I really like the line "All in favor of saving gas raise your right foot", which I think would make a great tagline for CleanMPG.
kmactavi 07-08-2008, 02:06 PM Nope. Here's a longer thread regarding the subject:

Wayne,
you have not let anyone down on this site, i believe there is just a need out there for a bumber stickers just let the vast majority vote on one, and lets see if we can get it mass produced? i liked the one with that says cleanMPG and has the fuel gauge on it like what is on top of this site.
Can anyone make a poll or just designated people?
atlaw4u 07-08-2008, 02:10 PM It's also a good way to support the site. Another website I frequent has T-shirts. I purchased one just to support the site. A shirt with the cleanmpg logo on the front and a slogan on the back such as, "Slow Down-Save Gas" would be great.
I would also purchase a few bumper stickers if they were available.
Just my 2-cents.
laurieaw 07-08-2008, 02:27 PM we must have had some at one time, since i have a european style oval one on my car with 60MPG in it, and i KNOW i got one with the site name on it at the same time..........i wonder where it came from?
kmactavi 07-08-2008, 02:32 PM Wayne, what font was used for the CleanMPG.com Logo? I'm sure a number of people know how to work Photoshop and with the font, it's not hard to throw some nice looking stickers together.

Hi Kirk:
___I have a 9 MB Photoshop of the logo that I use to break it down to more manageable sizes but Laurie knows what the font is.

kmactavi 07-08-2008, 06:48 PM Wayne, could you upload the Photoshop logo? I found the logos that are uploaded, but they are TIFs and will be pixelated when scaled.

photoshop queen here :)
i have logos on my computer at work. we used them for the great race car signs. if we can come up with some slogans we agree on, i can put the artwork together.
kmactavi 07-09-2008, 07:08 AM Laurie, do you want to make the 'official' bumper sticker thread? You can add a poll once we get say 5-10 good ideas (I'll look through old threads as well). We should also have a plain one with just the logo, (no slogan). That one could be done up pretty quickly and added to the thread as a sample/incentive so people will take it seriously (since there have been so many threads about bumper stickers, and none have ended successfully). I think www.cafepress.com has been used in the past for making them, but maybe someone will have a better suggestion. It would be nice to have a few bumper stickers, I know HemiSync will be happy. :)

i will be glad to do it if we are sure we have a source to get them made. is it easy to work through cafe press?
Ophbalance 07-09-2008, 07:56 AM I still dig the one on hobbit's ride, that's just basically the logo from the top of the page.
kmactavi 07-09-2008, 08:52 AM Cafe Press is extremely easy. I've never used it before, but I had a custom sticker ready to order in under a minute ($2.99 before shipping). Here's the link (http://www.cafepress.com/cp/customize/product.aspx?clear=true&no=90). Maverick Label (http://www.mavericklabel.com/product/window-decals-landing.html) has the static ones with a transparent background, but they have to be ordered in larger quantities. If we wanted to, CleanMPG.com could buy 125-250 of the basic logo ones (I'm thinking all black or all white, with a red needle) and sell them from the site.

dare2be 07-09-2008, 09:26 AM While this is being discussed, I just wanted to throw this idea into the mix...something I threw together in about 10 minutes just playing around:

ikea4532 07-09-2008, 11:59 AM Here is my spin:
DO YOU LIKE AAA? NO
I LIKE CLEANMPG.COM! GO
ikea4532 07-09-2008, 12:54 PM If i were to vote i'd vote for the logo! That takes all the guessing out of thinking of what slogan is best!
07mpshei 07-09-2008, 01:26 PM I agree, the logo looks clean (pun intended), won't offend, and attracts people here
kmactavi 07-09-2008, 01:56 PM Alright, I think that it's time to move this to a dedicated thread, which will host the Poll when enough suggestions have been made. I'll post the link when it's been created.

MT bucket 07-09-2008, 09:58 PM I thought about getting a sticker, might be a good way to meet other HMrs, but on the other hand, if i go and do a bonehead move and have a sticker I will be creating another hater! I will have to think about this further...
