The yellow gas light is on and I've got 2 bars left on the tank. I'm at 467 miles right now, do you guys think I can make it to 500?

Just carry a 1 gallon jug of gas with you and see how it goes ;). I plan on trying to hit 520 or so on this tank. I'll hit LFL probably around 470 or so.

As I hit 475 the last bar came up. I chickened out and filled up :( . I'll do better next time!

LOL that is how I got to my first 500 tank, I ran on empty a while, yeah I made it, but I bet my blood pressure numbers took a temporary hit though!:p

Congrats on getting closer though, I bet 500 is in the cards for ya soon!:)

I filled up my last tank about 20 miles after the last bar had disappeared. It still only took 11.6 gallons on a 13.2 gallon tank.

I must have been close to the last bar disappearing then, because it took 11.8 gallons on the fill up.

LOL, very nice. I just hit 400 miles on this tank for the first time in the 3 years I have owned this car. 300 a tank used to make me happy just 3 fill-ups ago.

I'll get to test this out today myself. I'll be carrying a gas can on the way in to work. The Elantra has been parked since Thursday, and it had about 450 on the ODO. It should, in theory, have another 100 miles left in it.

Nah, there's plenty of stations along I40. Though most of the ramps are uphill ;). I'm at 505 miles right now, and in theory I should have about a gallon left. I also brought a gallon in a can... just in case.

I'm at 340 with 4 bars left, no 500 mile tank for me. It's only the cars second tank lifetime so I cant expect too much.
