I have about 8500 miles on the Impreza so far and I am going on a short road trip (170 miles) this weekend. I have noticed that the EPA says the car should get 27 MPG on the highway, but I average 26.4 in the city already due to the way I drive ( is that pretty good for a car that is 50/50 all wheel drive all of the time?). Any guess on what I might get on the Highway. I think the speed limit is 60 or 65 most of the way on 2 lane highways.
Thanks for any advice.

I havent seen any numbers for 08 2.5i , I just got my first 32 mpg on about 90% highway driving in my 04 wrx. Subarus are a little heavy but I would guess you should be able to do well depeding on the speed and if you need to use the AC. I've been averaging about 24-27 mpg on nearly all city driving, and my car is rated at 20 27 for 2004 standards.

Well, it was about a 400 mile round trip when it was all said and done on mostly highways (70mph most of the way). Even with about 300 extra lbs. of everyones camping stuff and the AC on the whole way I averaged 32.8 MPG. I was actually very impressed with that number I thought maybe 30MPG would have been about it. So there are some numbers for anyone looking for real world MPG on an 08 Subaru N/A motor with a 5 speed. :)

Excellent work! You're good for at least 35 MPG if you keep speeds down and quite possibly 40 once you get used to hypermiling techniques.
But since after all, this is the 'My Ride' section, how about posting some pics? :)
