so I went to North carolina from alabama (330 miles)
to drive the dragon.

32 mpg average.. including the crazy driving on the dragon....

and to be honest... I was in a hurry to be there and in a hurry to get back for work so hypermiling was limited...

I did however find a nice truck to distance draft on the way up
and was driving with out brakes on the dragon (cause I was kind of scared of them) so I was saving them

any way I wish i had filled up and checked before the dragon runs... I imagine I was in the low 40s!

Anyway A subaru XT 4 banger is a good hypermiler!

That's not bad at all! I really want to ride that road when I get my bike in...plus it's a good excuse to cruise the Southeast again, it's nice out that way.

I lived not far from there last year.
During the summer months the traffic accidents and fatalities is unbelievable.
that road is ruined by insane crotch rockets and ricer's.
