If you're planning on buying a hybrid car, you only have a few days to make your purchase if you want to drive solo in Virginia's HOV lanes.
Any cars purchased after June 30th will not be exempt from those car pool rules on Interstate 95 and 395. Officials say the state started offering the exemption more than a decade ago as an incentive for drivers to buy low-polluting vehicles.
We're told you will still be able to drive your new hybrid cars in the HOV lanes of other state highways until next year.
