I'm about to do a 6 state run up to Maine.
And with the lousy gas mileage I get with E10.
I was wondering what States offer Regular Gas vs E10.

I know its mandatory in New York ALL year.

I see the best hypermiler's seem to go out of their way to avoid E10.
I'd like to adjust my fillups accordingly.

If you find anything definite, post it here. We all would like to know.

I think most station in CT are E10 or wear the warnings. I've seen the stickers in New Haven, Stamford, and a few other towns near the sound.

Not sure how your coming up but in your heading on the Parkway over to I-91 don't plan on using the highway mobil stations! I've heard stories over horrible mileage after a visit!

Edit: From Bill's map I notice I live in the N/RFG w/ethanol zone. What is this and is it any different that just saying I live in an E10 required zone?

GREAT map, mr. bill.

But it looks like the my entire East coast trip up to Maine is E10.

Not sure what Maine gas (RVP 7.8) is, I'll look into it later today.

Maybe I can detour to Western New Hampshire........
No. It would probably waste too much gas.

Thanks,
Tom

RVP is "Reid Vapor Pressure." 7.8 RVP gasoline has also been called "summer RFG."

Maine requires it from June 1-September 15.
They have lower taxes on Ethanol blended fuel, but don't give the 1 pound vapor waiver on the Ethanol blended fuel in Portland/Augusta. They don't require oxygenated fuel. Their pumps are labeled, but in practice, the label means the pump *might* have E10, not that it does have E10.
